Intense heat causes depression in the Bay of Bengal resulting in a severe cyclonic storm which advances rapidly and hits the off- shore islands and the mainland of Bangladesh. Field of crops goes under water. The floods in 1954, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1987, 1988 and 1989 caused a huge loss of life and property.
In 2005 the Tsunami and in 2007 the cyclone Sidr worldwide also hit Bangladesh and destroyed islands and main lands of Bangladesh. Still today the people of Bangladesh haven’t recovered the loss of occurred in 2005 and in 2007 respectively. Thousands of people turned homeless and became wretched specimen of ill- clad and humanity.
Our people live fighting against all kinds of disaster and calamity but they cannot do much against the natural calamities. The government if Bangladesh and other organizations are working to these people so that they can make up the loss but still its not enough so One Step Foundation of Bangladesh is also committed to rescue these people and give shelter to these people putting hands together with the government and other organizations.
